Trees Forever is seeking a full time Database Administrator and IT Support staff member with strong Salesforce experience. The ideal candidate will be a versatile team player with a passion for working for a non-profit and the skills and energy to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Trees Forever values team members who can collaborate with board, external vendors/partners, volunteers, and our growing staff. The Development Coordinator contributes to Trees Forever’s success through fundraising, donor stewardship and board and trustee engagement, working closely with and reporting to the Director of Development and Executive Director to provide operational support. This role will further Trees Forever’s mission through identifying and stewarding donor relationships and growing philanthropic relationships in the community. Trees Forever’s Growing Futures job employment program takes a unique approach to caring for our community’s trees. Through Growing Futures, teams of teenagers are employed to help grow our tree canopy all while learning about the world around them and the potential within themselves. We are looking for teenagers aged 14-18 to help maintain trees in Des Moines neighborhoods this summer. Apply here
Green Iowa AmeriCorps members engage in direct service work, environmental education, professional development opportunities, and volunteer engagement.
The Land & Water Stewards branch strives to revive Iowa's lost or disappearing ecosystems and improve water quality throughout the state. Green Iowa AmeriCorps outreach and education initiatives focus on proper land management practices, ecosystem revitalization, storm-water management, and pesticide reduction. Land & Water Steward members work directly with host sites across Iowa to carry out their environmental stewardship missions.
At Trees Forever, AmeriCorps members will be a part of various projects including working with local communities to plant more plants and seedlings, assisting with our Growing Futures teen employment and tree care program, and marketing/promoting our work through social media, webinars, fliers, etc.
