2009 Marked Trees Forever's 20th Anniversary

A message from Founding President Shannon Ramsay...

What an amazing milestone we have reached! In some ways, it seems hard to imagine that it has been twenty years. Together we’ve planted millions of trees, restored prairie and natural areas. Everywhere we look–across Iowa, Illinois and beyond–we are reminded of the wonderful work we have all accomplished together.

Congratulations to all those who are a part of the Trees Forever family. Whether a member, sponsor, partner or dedicated volunteer, we have all played an essential role in achieving 20 years of outstanding success.

Perhaps you are most excited about a particular aspect of our work together:

- Planting and caring for trees in our communities
- Improving water quality with buffer plantings of trees, shrubs and grasses
- Beautifying our community entranceways, roadsides and trails
- Mentoring youth through outdoor projects and environmental careers
Regardless of your particular interests, all of our combined efforts have made a huge difference in the quality of our lives–on private lands and on farms, in communities and neighborhoods, and on public lands–and in the lives of generations to follow.

Thank you so much for joining us for our 20th Anniversary Celebration! It is important that we celebrate and recognize all the individuals and organizations that have contributed in so many ways and exemplify the Trees Forever mission and philosophy.
