Program Purpose
A program to help communities in Iowa and Illinois to prepare for the Emerald Ash Borer beetle (EAB). With assistance from the US Forest Service, Trees Forever is coordinating an educational outreach program to assist communities in eastern Iowa and western Illinois plan for the arrival of EAB. This project is available to communities in select counties in each state.
All communities in Iowa have been recruited for the program at this time. However, please see the EAB information page or visit www.emeraldashborer.info for important educational resources that can help you prepare for EAB on your property or in your community.
The Illinois program is still accepting new communities. If your community is in one of the target counties in Illinois (listed below) and you have interest in the program, please contact Trees Forever at 800-369-1269 for further information.
