Are you a young person who wants to carry out a planting or care project in your community? Are you a member of a community group that would like to involve more youth in your volunteer projects? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then Trees Forever can help!
Trees Forever supports multigenerational environmental service by connecting volunteers of all ages to Trees Forever programs, local Trees Forever affiliate groups, and to each other. Expanding upon the Trees Forever GreenForce pilot we provide training to help affiliate groups develop their capacity to effectively involve youth in volunteer efforts.
Trees Forever's goal is to actively involve more young people in all the work we support, including planning, decision-making, and hands-on projects.
Through our Facebook and communication network, young people can learn about opportunities to get involved with Trees Forever projects and programs, and can connect with other young people interested in the environment. Community groups interested in involving young people in their environmental projects can receive training and resources from Trees Forever on ways to effectively engage volunteers of all ages.
