Sheldon

The Sheldon Visioning Committee planted over 300 trees on the south corridor in their community as part of Trees Forever's training to help involve youth in their community plantings. The project involved 119 volunteers on the project day, including groups, families and individuals. Youth groups included several Boy Scout troops, Girl Scouts and families. A couple of the youth have been volunteering with maintenance such as staking trees. The group will reassemble this fall to plan another project. There is still excitement about the projects and youth participants have breathed new life into this committee!
