Community Affiliate Membership Program
The Trees Forever Community Affiliate membership program is designed with local volunteer groups in mind. Our goal is to enhance and improve the lines of communication with community groups and their volunteers, provide increased access to information, resources, and tools, and to support local groups through technology.
Benefits to Community Affiliate Groups
Dedicated Lines of Communication to and from Trees Forever Headquarters
- Every Community Affiliate will be assigned a primary field coordinator
- An exclusive e-mail address will be established for Community Affiliate communications
- Your local members will also receive Trees Forever communications directly via mail and e-mail
- Monthly e-newsletter with technical tips, grant updates, event information and other important information of special interest to Community Affiliates (planned)
Greater Access to Trees Forever Resources and Tools
- Additional dedicated support time from Trees Forever staff to address your community’s or group’s specific needs or wants - such as prairie planting guidance, assistance with tree ordinances, presentations to city council, or other local issues outside of normal program work
- Online program application and reporting forms
- Priority Access to special Trees Forever projects and initiatives, such as youth involvement trainings
- Library of brochures, donor letters, press releases, and other publication templates available for your local use (planned)
Technology to Help You Connect with Each Other and the Public
- Free listings of your events and planting dates on Trees Forever website events calendar
- Inclusion on our Community Affiliates page on the Trees Forever website - including your local contact info, meeting information, and a link to your website (if applicable)
- An exclusive Question and Answer Forum available through our website, for you to ask questions of Trees Forever staff and other community volunteers (planned)
- A customized webpage for your local group, designed and hosted by Trees Forever, may be an option in the future. We are currently exploring the technology needed for this.
