The REAP assemblies are biennial regional gatherings to discuss issues and suggest improvements to the REAP program and process. They are also to elect regional representatives to the biennial statewide REAP Congress.

In an effort to raise awareness about Iowa’s natural resources needs and trust fund benefits and outcomes, Iowa’s Water and Land Legacy is coordinating a series of receptions in conjunction with the upcoming REAP Assemblies. The receptions will take place at the same location as the REAP Assembly in each region from 6-6:45 p.m.
Iowa's Water and Land Legacy encourages you to attend both the reception and your regional REAP Assembly.
First, Assemblies are an essential means of advocating for conservation investments in your community -- prioritizing funds for education, soil & water conservation, roadside vegetation, cultural resources, parks and more.
Second, the Coalition is hosting pre-Assembly receptions discussing the effort to create a permanent trust fund protecting our natural resources. Each begins at 6 p.m. and is an opportunity to connect current needs to Iowans' singular opportunity to strengthen our economy and quality of life.
Iowa needs to invest properly in natural resources. Establishing the trust fund provides a reliable and accountable method for substantially reinforcing REAP investments and other work to create clean water, productive soils and enduring connections to nature.
