National Public Lands Day Planting, Marion, IA

Volunteers are invited to plant trees at Squaw Creek Park in Marion on National Public Lands Day!

Volunteers will be planting trees in the campground and along the entrance drive to the park. Volunteers should dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes if possible, and wear gloves. Volunteers do not need to have special skills or training and all ages are welcome. Volunteers can bring shovels and other tools, but should mark them clearly with their names.

Event Sponsors: The National Public Lands Day planting is organized by Linn County Conservation and Trees Forever, and is supported with grants from the Linn County Board of Supervisors Witwer Trust and Alliant Energy Branching Out.
