Tree Planting, Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA

Volunteers are needed to plant approximately 90 windbreak/screening trees at Oak Hill Cemetery. The event with begin with training at 9:00 am and will continue until planting is complete. Pizza lunch will be provided. The rain date for the event is Saturday, September 24 with the same starting time.

Oak Hill Cemetery is located at 1705 Mt. Vernon Rd SE in Cedar Rapids. Volunteers should park at the back of the cemetery.

Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes. Volunteers are encouraged to bring planting tools such as shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows, which should be clearly marked with their names.

The event is being coordinated by the Oak Hill Cemetery Board, Eagle Scout Candidate Jonathan, and Trees Forever and is funded by Trees Forever's Project trEE O2.
