Taylor School Outdoor Classroom Planting, Cedar Rapids, IA

Volunteers are needed to plant over 1000 native plants, shrubs and trees at their new Nature Explore outdoor classroom. The event with begin with training for volunteer leaders (anyone can be a volunteer leader) at 8:00 a.m. General volunteers will start working at 9:00 a.m. and continue until planting is complete. Pizza lunch will be provided by Taylor Elementary School. Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes. Volunteers are encouraged to bring planting tools such as trowels, shovels, and rakes, which should be clearly marked with their names.

The event is being coordinated by the Taylor Elementary School and Trees Forever and is funded by numerous grants.
