National Public Lands Day Planting, Squaw Creek Park, Marion, IA

Volunteers are needed to help plant trees at the Trees Forever Memorial Grove and the park roads in Squaw Creek Park. The event with begin with training at 9:00 am and will continue until planting is complete (around noon). Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes. Volunteers are encouraged to bring planting tools such as shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows, which should be clearly marked with their names.  Volunteers should park at the Priaire Oak Lodge parking lot. 

The event is being coordinated by Trees Forever and Linn County Conservation and is funded by a grant from the Witwer Trust and Trees Forever's Alliant Branching Out program.
