Moving Planet Bike Ride, Cedar Rapids, IA

Moving Planet Bike Ride Cedar Rapids will be Saturday, September 24, from 1:00 to 3:50 p.m., beginning at Tait Cummins Park, 3000 C Street SW, in Cedar Rapids and ending with a group photograph at 3:50 p.m. at Prairiewoods, 120 E. Boyson Road, in Hiawatha.

Moving Planet is a worldwide rally to demand solutions to the climate crisis sponsored by www.350.org. Organizers call it a single day to move beyond fossil fuels. Thousands of events, including many bike rides, will be happening in more than 100 nations around the world. Events are also being planned for Ames, Decorah, Des Moines, Dubuque, Iowa City, and other communities in Iowa. For details, visit www.moving-planet.org.

Moving Planet Bike Ride Cedar Rapids will leave Tait Cummins Park, 3000 C Street SW, in Cedar Rapids shortly after 1 p.m., visit the Water Tower Condominium Green Roof, 900 Second Street SE, at 1:30 p.m., and finish at Prairiewoods, 120 E. Boyson Road, for an environmental fair and renewable energy tours. Moving Planet Bike Ride Cedar Rapids will conclude at 3:50 p.m. with a group photograph.
