Volunteers Needed for Planting at Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge

Wednesday, November 09, 2011
Volunteers are needed to help plant container trees with 1 gallon pots and a variety of species to improve floodplain forest diversity. There are about 400 trees to plant. Holes will be dug with power augers.  Volunteers will place trees in holes and fill the holes. Planting will take place all day so people can come at different times.  Dress for the weather and getting dirty and bring gloves, lunch and water.

Volunteers should call Cathy Henry at 319-523-6982 if you'd like to help.
