Stuff Etc. Supports Trees Forever With April Fundraiser
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – (April 20, 2010) – From now through April 30, shoppers at both Cedar Rapids Stuff Etc. locations will be able to support Trees Forever while shopping for bargains of their own. Stuff Etc. named Trees Forever as their local Charity-of-the-Month for April.
Shoppers who donate $1 or more to the Stuff Etc. charity umbrella will receive 10% off on all full-price items. A weekend special starting April 30 will increase that discount to 15%. Trees Forever will receive all donations made by customers during the month of April at either of the two Cedar Rapids area Stuff Etc. locations.
Trees Forever is a nonprofit environmental group based in Marion. For the past 20 years, they have promoted planting trees throughout the area and the state. Trees forever staff have assisted with planning and planting hundreds of local tree planting projects over the years. Trees help provide energy savings, improved air and water quality, increased property values, and many other significant benefits to property owners and the community.
In Cedar Rapids and Linn County, Trees Forever has spent much of the past two years helping neighborhoods and communities recover and replant from the 2008 flood disaster. Hundreds of trees were lost or damaged during the flood, many of them on public property. This summer, Trees Forever is partnering with the Block by Block program to replant trees and plant rain gardens at flooded homes being renovated through the program.
Stuff Etc. is also celebrating their 25th Anniversary this month. Their Cedar Rapids stores are located at 3750 Williams Blvd SW and 252 Blairs Ferry Road NE. For more information, log onto www.stuffetconline.com
