Help Trees Forever Win National Charity Contest!
Marion, Iowa – (September 5, 2012) - The statewide environmental nonprofit Trees Forever is seeking the public’s help to win a national grant competition being offered by the Chase Community Giving Program. The Chase Giving contest runs from September 6-19, and is open to all Facebook users and Chase Bank customers. Trees Forever is hoping to win one of 196 grants being awarded nationally through the online contest.
Chase will award the winning grants based on the total number of online votes each charity receives on Facebook and at ChaseGiving.com. All Facebook users and customers of Chase Bank (including holders of private label credit cards offered through Chase) are eligible to vote for two charities. Facebook users can also earn a “bonus vote” by promoting the contest to a friend who also votes. The top 196 vote getters will receive grant awards ranging from $10,000 to a top prize of $250,000.
“We are so excited to be in the running to receive a share of the $5 million that Chase is awarding this fall,” said Shannon Ramsay, founding president of Trees Forever. “Any new funding we receive will allow us to plant and care for even more trees and natural areas across the state, making our neighborhoods and communities more livable and sustainable. Every vote we get in the next two weeks gets us one step closer to this exciting goal!”
Facebook users can vote for Trees Forever by using the contest link on the Trees Forever homepage at www.treesforever.org or by searching for Trees Forever at www.Facebook.com/ChaseCommunityGiving. Chase customers can cast their votes at www.ChaseGiving.com. Chase customers who do not already have an online account can sign up for one when they log on to the site.
Individuals who are a Facebook user and a Chase customer can vote for up to two charities on each website (for a total of 4 votes), plus earn the possible fifth “bonus vote” on Facebook. Full program details, including a summary of rules of entry are available at www.ChaseGiving.com/pages/program-rules.
