Green and Blue: A Natural Connection

Trees Forever's Annual Our Woodland Legacy Symposium
If you couldn't attend the Our Woodland Legacy Symposium this year you missed out on some fabulous presentations and networking! But not to fret, the keynote presentations are available for your listening pleasure in audio (mp3) format. This year we hosted Richard Louv, author of The Last Child in the Woods and Dr. William Sullivan, Professor of Landscape Architecture and Director of the Sustainability and Health Lab at the University of Illinois. Both of these talks were entertaining while informing the audience with useful and thought provoking information relating to their research efforts.  Download and listen to their presentations at your leisure and plan to attend the next symposium in December!
With the selection of Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Iowa City as Blue Zones communities, this is the perfect time to explore how our own personal health and well-being as well as the economic vitality of our communities can benefit from a daily dose of “Vitamin N” – NATURE. At Trees Forever, we are committed to continuing this conversation throughout the year, not only with the hosting of the symposium but we strive to carry this message and effort into all of our events and interactions with the community.
