Join us for a special bicycle ride with four tree related stops. Tour de Trees will start and end at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area. Meet at the Trees Forever booth for the first “educational stop.” We’ll kick off the ride with a bit of TREE-via (tree-related trivia) before we hit the bike trail. Cyclists will ride between five to ten miles, stopping multiple times to hear about trees along the route. Trees Forever volunteers will be at each stop, ready to enlighten you about your green surroundings. More information on the exact route coming soon. The ride will end where we began at Terry Trueblood Recreation Center, so the cyclists can then explore the EarthFest.

EarthFest is a new festival started by Green Iowa AmeriCorps, and many other partners will be participating and providing additional activities.

“Walk-ins” are welcome to join us on the bike ride, but the first 10 people who register and attend Tour de Trees will receive a free T-shirt.

ATTENTION: The bicycle ride is canceled due to inclement weather. EarthFest will be moved indoors. Look for another bike ride this summer!
