When you give thanks & gifts this season, remember to Thank A Tree and give the GIFT THAT GIVES ALL YEAR ‘ROUND!

Your generous gifts at year-end make Trees Forever’s mission and programming possible. The Trees Forever Annual Fund supports all areas of the organization.

In 2016, your gifts have helped us accomplish so much, including:

  • Plantings at more than 45 schools with 2,000-plus student volunteers!
  • Reaching the twenty-year mark with Iowa's Living Roadways programs.
  • Helping dozens of landowners in Iowa and Illinois improve water quality and plant pollinator habitat.
  • Distributing 25,000 free educational coloring books to schools, families and grandparents.

A year-end gift to the Trees Forever Annual Fund represents your commitment to protecting trees and the environment. This is a collective eff ort and it takes volunteers, donors, members, staff and Board of Directors working together to reach our $30,000 year-end goal. All gifts made to the Annual Fund are important — they continue to have an impact on the places where we live, work and play for today and for the benefi t of future generations — so please give to your greatest capacity.

A question any non-profi t is asked is: Why are Annual Fund donations important? The answer, most simply put, is that the Annual Fund helps bridge the gap between restricted program income and operating costs. This year as Trees Forever faces a funding shortfall, the Annual Fund is even more financially significant because 100 percent of Annual Fund donations help underwrite Trees Forever’s operating budget and ensure the long-term health of the organization. It’s what makes Trees Forever nimble and responsive, our programming richly diverse and our staff well-resourced to help us all make the world a greener, more beautiful place for everyone.

So, NOW MORE THAN EVER we need your support.

As a friend of Trees Forever, won’t you consider a gift of $50, $100, $500, $1000 or more to help Trees Forever meet our year-end goals and achieve our mission?

By donating now you can Thank A Tree and enable us to put your gift to work immediately to ensure that trees remain an important part of our world. In addition, your generous donation will help us fund the environmental priorities that are meaningful to you and hundreds of others like you who count on Trees Forever to make a difference in their lives and those of future generations.

Remember, every gift — of any amount — will make a diff erence.

Thank A Tree!

One of our most magical moments this fall was in Maynard, Iowa, where hundreds of schoolchildren helped us plant more than 100 trees on their school campus. Their enthusiasm and excitement was a wonderful reminder of how important it is for the next generation to learn about our environment and the impact trees have on our sense of community and well-being. The students’ heartfelt thank-you notes are what inspired our year-end giving theme:
Thank a Tree!

We encourage you to make a “Thank you card” for the trees and share it with us on social meida #ThankATree

"I support Trees Forever because they approach environmentalism from a positive standpoint — they see what they can add, rather than what they can stop. I feel good with each monthly donation because I know I’m bringing more trees into the world, which helps the environment in a myriad of ways.  It’s the most direct way I’ve found to create a positive change in our changing climate."
